I’m going to sign up the a poker tournament at the MGM when I’m in Las Vegas, and I am wondering long it is going to take. I’m thinking that I’m going to do the 11am tournament.

The ones I know of are Texas Holdem, 5 Card Draw and Seven Hand Poker. Are there anymore. What else do you need to know about poker? Can you give me tips on how to check if someone is bluffing?

What kind of poker psychology do you use at the table?

I’ve heard people say they like to act friendly and courteous to everyone at the table so that a) people will assume they are chumps and try to take advantage of them and b) people will be less inclined to try to bust them from the table. I’ve also heard people take the “poker brat” approach and try to antagonize other players at the table so that they WILL try to take shots at them. What’s your approach?

How to play poker at home without a dealer? To have poker night, what would be the ideal rules?
kuwaitimassacre asked:
Some friends of mine are thinking of starting a poker night, I was curious on how the rules would be idealy. If there was no dealer, would the shuffle be done by each player once? Would the raising and calling take place before and/or after changing cards? If we were to play with a 100 $ each per night, what would be the best limits to have a good fun game. I need some experieced helps, no answers just for points please.
